National Student Open Cup 2023 (NSOC) has ended and the afterglow of this tournament left in the hearts of the players and spectators is extremely good. NSOC is expected to become OEG’s annual tournament with the purpose of creating a professional and healthy Esports playground for the Vietnamese student community, while spreading the positive meanings of Esports to everyone. with society.
After nearly a month of competition across the country, the National Student Open Cup 2023 has found two champions of the two disciplines League of Legends (League of Legends) and Valorant. Let’s listen to the thoughts and shares of the two champions after winning the throne in the first time the National Student Open Cup was held.
How do you feel when you are the first champion of the National Student Open Cup 2023?
FPT Esports Club (Valorant): We feel very great and happy to be the ones “breaking in” to open the tournament system of OEG company as well as NSOC 2023. The whole team feels very happy for the success. This achievement is worthy of the effort and practice time that we have spent since receiving information about the tournament.
HUFLIT – Second Prize (League of Legends): My teammates and I feel very proud to become the first champions of NSOC. This has truly been a long and arduous journey as we have gone through both stressful matches and team travel. An unforgettable miracle.
In your journey to conquer the top position of the National Student Open Cup 2023, which challenge do you find most difficult and memorable?
FPT Esports Club (Valorant): In the journey to conquer the top position at NSOC 2023, the challenge that probably makes me feel the most difficult and memorable is probably the day of the Northern finals.
The opponents that we felt were the most “difficult” that day were the Dominus Esport couple OmgV and Storm (Some T). They can both shoot and have very methodical communication plans with teammates. Before I met 5Sting, I watched their match against 5Random, and the split pushing gameplay and controlling each position seemed very annoying. Especially in the online environment on stage, when listening to sounds and information as well as focusing on your playing is quite difficult. However, it’s good that we were the ones who did better.
HUFLIT – Asking for Second Prize (League of Legends): The most difficult and memorable journey for me was the match against DTU in the Quarterfinals and FPT in the Finals. DTU is a strong team with a tendency to play on the top wing, good control and ban/pick, FPT plays strongly on the bottom wing with a forehand playing style. Both teams deserve to be honored in the tournament, our opponents in these two pairs of matches all showed great performance and outstanding personal skills, especially FPT’s Ouzi, the man He is in the role of gunner.
To become the champion of National Student Open Cup 2023 is definitely not an easy thing. Can you share some of your secrets?
FPT Esports Club (Valorant): I think there is no secret, all you need to do is prepare and practice well as well as have the most comfortable spirit and mentality possible.
HUFLIT – Asking for Second Prize (League of Legends): Regarding the secret, I think the team has been competing with each other for a long time, specifically over the past year. The 5 members of our team all play together so the chemistry and teamwork are much better. Personal skills are no less when our team has players with more than 1k challenge points and a coach with a ban/pick style that tends towards pure LPL team fighting. All of the above are the secrets my team possesses to become a champion.
How do you rate the National Student Open Cup 2023 – A tournament for students but extremely professionally organized? Do you think this will be a launching pad for the team to become professional in the future?
FPT Esports Club (Valorant): NSOC 2023 has left me with a lot of emotions and impressions about the scale of the tournament, the equipment room as well as the preparation work. As for the launch pad, I think it will be difficult to answer because each of our teams may have their own direction, but we will gather again when we have the opportunity to participate in the next tournaments.
HUFLIT – Asking for Second Prize (League of Legends): I see that NSOC 2023 is made up of a professional organizing committee. From rehearsal to organization, everything is very methodical and strict. The configuration of the competition machine at OEG Stadium and the gear system are extremely good, on par with the configuration of “A-class” Esports tournaments.
Besides, it is impossible not to mention other factors such as Camera-man filming professional game moments, beautiful shooting angles, and great sound. Nice image quality. Professional commentators should both watch and listen to catchy comments. The commentators’ expertise is all “world-class”.
How do you feel when competing in the extremely modern and majestic arena of OEG Stadium?
FPT Esports Club (Valorant): It’s hard to describe in words, but this is certainly an unforgettable experience for me in particular and the entire team in general as this is a rare experience. Experience and compete in such a professional and modern system.
HUFLIT – Second Prize (League of Legends): The majestic atmosphere at the stadium, the excitement of the audience and commentators, and the experienced MC brought the most heroic emotions I have ever experienced. . Actually, I was both happy and emotional when standing on stage with bright lights illuminating my standing position. I hope that in the following tournaments, NSOC will bring me more surprises. Thank you organizers for bringing students a world-class tournament.
Once again, congratulations to the two teams FPT Esports Club (Valorant) and HUFLIT – Xin Second Prize (League of Legends) for winning the highest position of the NSOC 2023 tournament. Wishing you good studies and reaping successes. More proud achievements in the next tournaments!
