JUEGO organization from Korea confirmed they have successfully taken over SGB in the new season, and changed the team name to DH.CNJ Esports.
Information about the future of Saigon Buffalo is what VCS fans are most interested in after this team returns from Worlds 2022. Rumors related to dissolution due to no sponsors, or staging The player who “disappeared” after Worlds was rumored a lot by the League of Legends community. These rumors spread further after Sir Ren said goodbye to the buffalo herd to join SBTC Esports.
However, recently, Buffalo fans will be happy to hear that an organization from Korea called JUEGO will take over SGB in the upcoming 2023 season. Accordingly, JUEGO will buy back both the playing space and the entire current staff of SGB after taking over 100% of this team. At VCS Spring 2023, the name Saigon Buffalo will no longer appear, but instead will be DH.CNJ esports.
This is good news for the Vietnamese LoL community when there is one more foreign organization investing in League of Legends teams fighting in the VCS arena. SGB, formerly known as PVB, is one of the most successful teams in the VCS arena, and has also repeatedly represented Vietnam in major tournaments such as Worlds or MSI.
The question many fans ask right now is how many people will be left in the old line-up of the buffalo herd after changing to DH.CNJ esports, especially when rumors about Shogun switch to TW or Taki Joining SE is constantly being spread by the community.
Anyway, the appearance of JUEGO will surely bring many changes compared to the current time of SGB, as well as bring a new breeze to the VCS tournament. Hopefully, in the near future, there will be more information related to this takeover.
