Kodoani.com – This year’s March issue of Kadokawa Shoten’s Newtype magazine, released on Friday, listed that Digimon Ghost Game will end with the 68th episode on March 26th. The 66th episode will air on March 12th and the 67th episode will air on March 19th.
The Digimon Ghost Game anime premiered in October 2021 and aired on Fuji TV on Sundays at 9:00 a.m. Crunchyroll was streaming the series as it aired.
The anime was not broadcast from March 20, 2022 to April 10 due to a hack at Toei Animation, and continued to air on April 17, 2022.
The anime is set “just a little bit in the future” where rumors of strange events known as “hologram ghosts” are circulating online. The show focuses on Hiro, who is able to see Digimon after activating the “Digivice” that his father left behind. Together with Digimon Gammamon, they investigate the unusual phenomena happening around them in their daily lives and slowly enter the world of Digimon.
Kimitoshi Chioka (Dragon Ball Super) and Masato Mitsuka (Digimon Adventure) are directing the film at Toei Animation. Masashi Sogo (Fairy Tale) is in charge of the series’ script. Tenya Yabuno was the original character designer, and is also credited with Hiroshi Izawa for assisting with the planning. Mariko Itō is adapting Yabuno’s characters into animation. Kenji Watanabe is the original character designer for Digimon, and Cho Shinozuka is adapting those Digimon designs for the animation. Mai Ichioka is the art director, and Toshiki Amada is credited as the art choreographer. Akiyoshi Hongo is credited with the original work.
