The Dragon Ball world also exists some curious things about the “special” appearance of the characters. But perhaps, one of the strangest things is the fact that Krillin is the only character in the entire series without a nose.
Other characters, such as Goten and Videl, even have a small, simple drawn nose, but at least they have it. Yet Krillin’s face simply had nothing between his mouth and eyes. Although there is no exact reason why the Krillin character was designed like that, over time, Dragon Ball readers have all gotten used to his bald appearance. Sometimes they even forget this puzzling detail.
However, an artist known as FTW Studios recently shared on his Twitter several renderings of what Krillin would look like with a nose.
The artist used Krillin in both Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball FighterZ to add a nose to the character. The nose is cleverly added and matches the bald guy’s face, although it may still feel a bit strange to see Krillin with a nose.
In addition, there is another interesting detail in the images posted by the artist, that while Krillin “grows” the nose, the nose of Android 18 and Goku is “evaporated”. This is the artist’s intention to have an objective comparison, to show how the lack of a nose makes a character strange.
Obviously, except for the case of Krillin, who looks much better without a nose, the other characters who have lost their nose look much less sharp.
How about you, how do you rate the characters with noses and without noses, please share!
