One of them, Sand Land, is a short manga published in 2000. It was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump but quickly got lost in the endless stream of Shonen manga. In addition, it was later compiled into a single volume.

The Dragon Ball author’s Sand Land manga was adapted into an anime
Disney+ Star Japan announced that Akira Toriyama’s SAND LAND manga will be adapted into an anime series titled SAND LAND: THE SERIES. The film will premiere in spring 2024 on Disney+ Star’s “STAR Anime Series.” The main image of the anime has also been revealed by Disney+.
The manga also has an anime film that will hit Japanese theaters on August 18, 2023. The film had its world premiere on July 22 at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con International and will be released in North America in 2024.
The anime will include previously unreleased scenes from the SAND LAND film, iconic scenes from the original manga, and a new story written by Toriyama following the film. Furthermore, it will also feature returning cast and staff from the film.
According to Viz, the official synopsis for Sand Land is, “In the distant future, war has destroyed the entire Earth, leaving only a barren wasteland where the water supply is controlled by the king greed. In search of a long-lost lake, Chief Rao enlists the help of the demon king… and captures the king’s son, Beelzebub, and his assistant, Thief. Together, the trio suddenly sets off across the desert, facing dragons, bandits and their deadliest enemy yet… the King’s own army!
