Despite being Son Goku’s son, Son Goten doesn’t play an important role in the story like many other Dragon Ball characters.
Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball is one of the most popular anime series of all time. There are tons of new and exciting anime coming out every year, but Dragon Ball has found a way to maintain its appeal in various ways, ever since its inception in the 1980s.
Dragon Ball is an indispensable series without extremely strong characters, but unfortunately because of that, some people don’t get a lot of acting ground to shine when they deserve it. Despite being an important member of the Goku family, Goten has not been developed properly. And here are some small changes that can improve this character.
Continue to develop Super Saiyan states
Being a Super Saiyan has turned into something that seems increasingly easy to obtain these days. Goten reached this goal much earlier than Gohan or Goku, which seems to be saying that he will continue down this path and then surpass them. Goten received a lot of attention when he first appeared, but the character’s development was quickly lost. Goten has already done it to become a Super Saiyan, so if he continues to develop it, it is possible that Goten will reach the next status soon.
Train seriously with Gohan or Goku
Dragon Ball has a lot of characters possessing powers like gods. Although some people are born, most warriors have to train to become stronger. At first it seemed that Gohan and Goku wanted to train Goten to become a powerful warrior, but now neither of them seem to want to do that anymore.
Goten often practices with Trunks, but this is not a good way. If he goes through rigorous training in the Spirit Chamber and spends time with Goku, Gohan or even Vegeta, Goten will be able to gradually become a more important character in the series.
Explore… the afterlife!
This seems like a pretty… grim way, because Goten is still just a kid, but in Dragon Ball, death isn’t such a big deal, and the afterlife actually holds a multitude of benefits. surprise. Goku became stronger in many ways thanks to his training there. This will be an extremely bold change for Goten, but also one that is likely to develop him very well. Goten there will learn some new skills, and he can always respawn to return to Earth to fight at any time.
Cooperating with the Saiyans of Universe 6
One of the most interesting details of Dragon Ball Super is the appearance of multiple universes, one of which actually exists a Saiyan race. Cabba, Kale and Caulifla of Universe 6 are quite attractive characters of Dragon Ball Super, and they have many similarities with Goku, Vegeta and Gohan. Goten has never met these Universe 6 Saiyans, but he does have some things in common with Cabba. If in the future there is an arc where Goten and these Saiyan warriors work together, it could lead to all of these characters becoming more important.
Concentrate on being a ranger on Monster Island
A major obstacle in the quest to recruit Android 17 to join Goku’s Tournament of Power is that Android 17 needs someone to take over as a ranger to replace him on Monster Island. So Goten and Trunks helped out, but there’s an interesting detail that many fans don’t know. A chapter in the Dragon Ball Super manga explains that Cell Jr. actually survived and are on Monster Island, they even fought Goten and Trunks. This could be developed into an arc, as there is a lot to explore during Goten’s time on Monster Island.
