The first Dying Light game unexpectedly released a new DLC even though it’s been seven years since it was released and the second part is out.
The first Dying Light game launched in January 2015, giving zombie shooter fans a new experience by allowing gamers to parkour in the game’s world. The game was well received and created a lot of anticipation for its sequel Dying Light 2. With the recent release of the second game in 2022, many gamers have assumed the developer. Techland will no longer be interested in the first Dying Light. However, recent news has proven otherwise.
Techland just released Dying Light’s “Dieselpunk” DLC that gives gamers the chance to go back in time and get their hands on some mechanical-style gear. Some gamers were shocked at the announcement of this Dieselpunk DLC pack as no one was expecting a new piece of DLC for a seven year old game. However, Techland also said in 2021 that they have not finished the DLC for Dying Light.
Dying Light’s latest DLC before “Dieselpunk” is the “Hellraid” DLC. Unlike Dieselpunk which is primarily just a collection of stylish gear, Hellraid offers a complete expansion based on another game of the same name that Techland is developing. This DLC transformed zombies into skeletons and mythical beasts like minotaurs, giving the game a more fantasy atmosphere.
The announcement of the Dieselpunk DLC pack was accompanied by a short trailer showing the destructive power of the new weapons and vehicles. It also shows some funny steampunk elements, such as the scene where a zombie runs on a hamster wheel to generate energy. While gamers await the Dying Light 2 DLC, going back to the original zombie parkour experience with this new Dieselpunk DLC pack is also exciting, especially since it marks the final Dying Light DLC. .
So far, Dying Light 2 hasn’t had any major DLC released other than the fashion DLCs. However, the game has received many major patches with the most recent update introducing a New Game+ mode and a new mission. According to Techland, DLC will still be coming with Dying Light 2 and the developer has also stated that the DLC will run parallel to the main plot of the game, leading some to believe it could provide an explanation. for the mysterious disappearance of protagonist Kyle Crane in the first game.
