Elon Musk has revealed his Elden Ring character is a magician, breaking down his preferred construction for the game in a social media post. The variety of players and build choices have played a big part in FromSoftware’s latest RPG experience, and fans continue to explore and experiment with different builds and mechanics of the Elden Ring. in the Lands Between.
Elden Ring, FromSoftware’s seventh installment in the Soulsborne legacy, has enjoyed plenty of success since its release this past February. Like its notoriously hard-to-play brothers, Elden Ring is an action RPG for players to explore its world. What sets Elden Ring apart from its predecessors is the game’s open-world experience, which has received a standing ovation from critics and players alike. However, Elden Ring also tries to combine and distill the best features that the Soulsborne series has brought over the years. This combination of game mechanics gave players a nearly unlimited choice of character building styles to experiment with as they struggled to survive their journey.
Recently via Twitter, history-focused account History Defined shared a photo of an 8th-century mosaic called the Tree of Life. The mosaic’s earthy colors and atmospheric lighting bear a striking resemblance to Elden Ring’s iconic Erdtree, which prompted a response from Tesla and SpaceX chief executive Elon Musk. Soon after, a user named KangaroO sought wisdom from Musk by asking about his construction preferences. Elon gave a pretty thorough answer that he prefers building magic. Judging by the breadth of the construction mechanism detailed in his answer, Elon seems to have invested quite a bit of time in the Elden Ring. He also goes as far as to prescribe how to charge his basic weapons, including how to use shields, staff, swords, and claws. Sadly, he has yet to reveal the spell he chose.
While Elon Musk favors building Elden Ring in a spell-driven way, his advice may illustrate how successful the title is in delivering the game. With a few exceptions, Musk details almost every choice his colleagues made to beat the seemingly insurmountable challenges of the Elden Ring. Like all games in its lineage, Elden Ring encourages players to use every tool in their arsenal, from spells to summoning, to succeed. While this can be challenging for newer players, mastering a certain build is definitely related to the satisfaction players get from conquering FromSoftware games.
The Elden Ring has proven to be a lucrative product for FromSoftware as more and more Tarnished flood the Lands Between. Even Elon Musk’s recent multi-billion dollar acquisition of Twitter doesn’t seem to be enough to dissuade him from Erdtree. As players continue their fascinating journey through the Lands Between, know that help can come from friends, family or even a billionaire.
