Embracer Group has rapidly expanded its game publishing over the past few years by acquiring studios large and small.
This European game company already owns Saber Interactive, Gearbox, THQ Nordic, Deep Silver and many other famous game developers. According to the company’s recent revenue report, they plan to release more than 25 AAA games by April 2026.
In the company’s most recent quarterly earnings report, Embracer confirmed that more than 25 triple-A games are in development, with a 2026 launch planned to serve the needs of a wide range of players.

In addition, the company also said that there are currently 216 record games in development and more than 95% of development funds are used to develop paid games. Embracer Group has 18 publishers and a total of 7,824 internal and external game developers.
In their recent report, Embracer also said of the acquisition of Dark Horse Comics Media: “Once this transaction is completed, Embracer Group will have the most diverse IP in the gaming industry. Our reliance on any game or IP will be less than 5%. This will make our operations more efficient.”
According to previous reports, 4A Games is working on a new IP, a sequel to the new Metro, and an indie Metro multiplayer game. In addition, “Dead Island 2” is also expected to officially premiere next year.

Embracer has released its financial statements for the period from October 1 to December 2021, and the company’s revenue reached SEK 5.08 billion ($544 million). This represents a 135% year-over-year increase for the overall gaming company.
Looking at the structure of sales by company, the group’s mobile game developer Easybrain leads the way in terms of revenue, reporting SEK 877.7 million ($94 million).
Next is Koch Media with SEK 727.6 million ($78 million), DECA Games with SEK 661.2 million ($70.7 million), Saber Interactive with SEK 476.4 million ($51 million), and Gearbox Entertainment with 455.4 million SEK ($48.7 million).
