Chovy’s Gen.G recently continued to beat another strong team, DRX, with a score of 2-0.
After the 7th week of the LCK Summer 2022 has passed half of the way, it can be confirmed that the journey to the 1st place in the tournament is a two-horse race between T1 and Gen.G. If T1 just defeated KT on Wednesday, the next day, Gen.G had an immediate victory over DRX to level the point with the opponent.
Gen.G recently had a convincing 2-0 victory over DRX
Therefore, the battle between these two teams tomorrow (July 30) will almost determine who is the top team in the LCK Summer 2022 rankings. Right before this match, Chovy on Gen. G is extremely confident in a home team victory over T1. This guy even thinks that the team has researched T1 very carefully and will disable all opponent’s weapons.
Q: You guys have played against T1 so many times. In the upcoming match, what have you prepared for when you have to meet this opponent?
Gen.G Chovy: In the first leg, we lost unfortunately to T1. The team then focused on analyzing and understanding the causes of failures and how to fix them. So all the weapons T1 used to defeat us in that match are no longer effective. We are very confident that we will defeat T1 in the upcoming match.
Chovy looks super confident in taking down T1 this weekend
If we pay close attention, in the last few matches, Doran has improved a lot and became a key position for Gen.G. Instead of just using Gnar, Doran was bolder in using risky champions like Aatrox or Akshan to create a big advantage in the split push phase.
In addition to Doran, Peanut’s position is also playing extremely well in recent times with extremely accurate attack situations. Obviously, when Gen.G’s two weaker positions are playing well, this team proves to be a team with almost no weaknesses. The proof is that since the beginning of the season, Gen.G has only lost 3 games (2 games against T1 and 1 game against DK) to take the top spot.
Peanut and Doran are currently playing extremely sublime in the shirt of Gen.G
On the T1 side, we are seeing instability in the bot lane of Gumayusi and Keria when they are not in their best form. In the last match, Gumayusi had a Pentakill and fans hope that this will give more confidence to the “prince” of T1 in the upcoming direct confrontation with Ruler.
