“The 100 Girlfriends Who Real, Real, Real, Really, Really Love You” is based on the manga by Rikito Nakamura and Yukiko Nozawa. The anime series is directed by Hikaru Sato (director of “Dropkick on My Devil!”) at Bilbury Animation Studios, with scripts written by Takashi Aoshima (who worked on “Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!”) and character design by Akane Yano (who worked on “And You Thought There Is Never a Girl Online?”).
The story revolves around Rentaro Aijo, a high school student who has been rejected 100 times in the past when trying to date. After praying at a temple, he meets a Cupid who appears and promises that he will meet 100 girls that he plans to date. However, there is a difficult rule: when fate introduces a couple, both must be happy and in love, otherwise they will die. The film will follow the story of Rentaro and his 100 girlfriends in high school.
