From a team that was “silent” on the transfer market at the end of the 2022 season, T1 has suddenly become the focus of attention since the announcement of a series of new names. Notably, except for Faker, these are all staff members of the Training Board. Many viewers commented that T1 did not appoint reasonable personnel. Some members of the team are not outstanding or have troubled pasts, a prime example is Coach Tom.
To solve everything, on the afternoon of December 1, 2022 (Vietnam time), T1 side opened a talk show with fans. In this talk show, representatives of T1 include Faker, CEO Joe Marsh and COO Josh. In particular, CEO Joe Marsh and COO Josh are names that have been reacted by T1 fans in the past because of confusing decisions and actions when running T1.
But it is not the characters in the T1 Leadership Board that Faker is the focus of attention. It was Faker and T1 CEO who confirmed that the person who suggested the talk was Faker. Normally, a player only needs to focus on professional matters. But in Faker’s case, he has proven to be a leader, especially in matters directly related to T1 and the team’s fans.
Not only that, throughout the talkshow, Faker was the one who led the explanations of the CEO and COO T1. Right from the beginning of the conversation, Faker confirmed that all decisions on the composition of the coaching staff were discussed with the players by T1 leaders.
Faker also apologized to the audience for the lack of information that led to unnecessary trouble. The captain of T1 admitted that CEO Joe Marsh was the cause of many problems for the whole team. However, Faker hopes the audience can be generous because Joe Marsh himself also tries his best to give the players the best conditions. It can be said that Faker is the main character of the talk show, not the two characters in the T1 Board of Directors.
For the League of Legends community, Faker’s influence is undisputed. Particularly within T1, Faker is not only the captain but also the spiritual leader and represents the voices of the players. And T1’s recent talk show once again proved Faker’s great bravery as one of T1’s leaders.
