Faker’s statement about this incident is expected to contribute to making the situation between the T1 coaching staff and the fan community of this team become more positive.
On August 7, a handful of T1 fans sent another truck to LoL Park. Previously, they sent a truck on August 4, when T1 faced HLE in the first match of the 2022 LCK Summer Split to protest this team’s coaching staff.
Banners on the truck read: “Incompetent head coach. The coach of the relegation team admits he is incompetent. The solution is to hire a coach who has won Worlds. Seven glorious years of SKT, fans left the team from 3 years of incompetent coaches.”
“Let’s appoint a coaching staff of senior former players that the T1 players deserve. We’ve had enough, more than enough with the performances down to the incompetent coach who didn’t prepare for the game!”
Of course, this action of T1 fans made the top floor of this team “bloody”. However, on Faker’s side, the 26-year-old star expressed the opposite opinion. He defended, saying that this is the way fans show their love for T1.
Faker shared after the HLE win: “No matter what the fans do, it comes from love for the team. Everyone in T1 should try harder to return the love that our fans give us. I will do my best for the fans.”
T1 is currently second in the LCK Summer 2022 standings and has less than two weeks left to enter the play-off round. T1 (13-2) still has three unplayed matches and has secured a place to continue despite losing to direct competitor Gen.G last week.
