Constantly disparaging a player on the livestream, Faker became the focus of the drama at a series of Chinese League of Legends forums.
At the Korean League of Legends server, Faker is compared by many gamers as one of the most “powerful” players in the LCK. The reason is because the Devil King’s complaints have made this region tighten the management of Korean rank, even some players and foreign teams have their accounts locked because of the influence of Faker.
Recently, Faker continued to become the focus of the Chinese LoL community when he made “sensitive” statements on the livestream. More specifically, in the recent livestream, Faker was on the same team with a jungler playing Wukong, in that match, Wukong played very badly (according to Faker’s comment) but still blamed Yone ( Faker) and Vladimir.

So T1’s mid laner was constantly complaining about Wukong to the livestream viewers: “What’s wrong with this person, people who argue on chat channels often have very low IQs. It’s really embarrassing. I can’t save this battle, the jungle has already destroyed it…
Wukong is not a professional player? This person doesn’t seem to be Korean. He’s clearly a different ‘something’.”
Normally, the Demon King would just report the player with suspicious signs and continue playing the game. But after the match with Wukong, Faker also watched the replay of the match to point out Wukong’s mistakes in the jungle. In particular, he also lamented that: “This is the reason that more and more people exit the game at the pick and ban stage, more and more people are suspicious” (avoiding accounts that break the game).
Faker denounced Wukong right at the end of the match.
He even reviewed replays and commented: “Could this guy simply be bad at playing, or is he doing it on purpose? I’m not sure anymore.”
Of course, “chairman Lee” does not directly refer to Chinese gamers as well as the LPL region. However, the implication that Wukong is not Korean has caused many Chinese gamers to express their displeasure and assume that Faker is referring to this area. So now the Devil King is being called out in many Chinese League of Legends forums because of the problem of “cursing low IQ players” on Korean rank.
Faker appeared in many news sites and forums in China.
