There are many characters in Dragon Ball that are not canon (unofficial characters in the main story). That is, they used to only appear in the movie or game, not mentioned in the main story.
However, there are still some characters from unofficial to official in Dragon Ball:
Broly is undoubtedly one of the best characters to come out of the Dragon Ball Z franchise so far. After being “re-emerged” in the movie Dragon Ball Super: Broly, the character Broly attracted more and more attention. Attention came from the fan.
From an unofficial character, this Saiyan guy has been recognized as a canon in the Super section with a slight change in “personal information” to be more appropriate.
Even in the movie, with the strongest state Super Saiyan Full Power, Broly also made both Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta suffer.
Paragus is Broly’s father and he also appeared in the movie Dragon Ball Super: Broly. Before that, Paragus also appeared in the non-canon film Dragon Ball Z: Broly – The Legendary Super Saiyan.
Paragus is quite taciturn, dark skinned, left eye with a scar that is believed to have been caused by Broly when he tried to restrain his son’s powers.
Paragus is a bit different in the Broly movie, he looks much older than the previous movie, he has white gray hair and has a beard. The outfit has also been changed a lot, the armor is more “Frieza military standard” with long shoulder blades. Instead of wearing a scarf, he wore purple long pants like a skirt, feeling no longer as brave as the previous movie.
Initially, the fusion form of Goku and Vegeta was officially recognized as Vegito. Because Vegito appeared in Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball Z manga, while Gogeta (the result of the Fusion Dance fusion between Goku and Vegeta) first appeared in the movie Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn and then Dragon Ball GT (2 non-canon movies).
However, in Dragon Ball Super: Broly, the fusion warrior Gogeta was officially recognized.
Tarble made her debut in the 2008 ova – Dragon Ball: Yo! Son Goku and his friends return!! This is the first new episode in the Dragon Ball series in 12 years. This 35-minute Ova introduced viewers to Tarble – Vegeta’s younger brother. This character was banished from planet Vegeta due to being too weak. Tarble comes to Earth to seek help from his brother and others to escape the remnants of Frieza’s forces.
In Dragon Ball Super: Broly, a flashback to the past shows Nappa and Vegeta talking regarding the destruction of Planet Vegeta. Nappa asked about his “brother” Vegeta’s condition, and he said he didn’t care. This confirms Tarble, who was previously just a movie character, is now a canon in Dragon Ball.
Bardock’s debut was in the first Dragon Ball TV special titled Dragon Ball Z: Bardock The story follows Bardock, Goku’s father, who finds out about Frieza’s plot to destroy the Saiyan race. In Japan, the episode aired on October 17, 1990.
Bardock then appeared in the manga in chapter 307 which was published in Japan on January 5, 1991. Yes, he was one of the characters that appeared first in the anime, which was later taken as official. in the plot of the manga.
