This actor played hot scenes and was witnessed by his mother from beginning to end.
Hot scenes are always a difficult topic for actors, especially new rookies. However, there was an actor who received unexpected support from his family when he first acted in a hot scene.
That is the unprecedented case of actor Christopher Mintz-Plasse, when he participated in the hit comedy project Superbad (Vietnamese title: Super Bad) in 2007. In the film, he had the opportunity to play a role. The first hot scene in his career.
But when sharing on The Rich Eisen Show, Mintz-Plasse said this was not a really comfortable experience. When performing this hot scene of Superbad, besides the director, there was still another person watching and monitoring him every little bit. And that person is the biological mother of the actor.
“Of course my mother can’t be with me everywhere all the time, but when I do hot scenes, she has to be there, for sure!”, Mintz-Plasse shared about the moment of having 1-0- 2 since he started acting.
When asked how he felt, Mintz-Plasse said he was extremely uncomfortable and natural when his mother was there watching him do hot scenes. He confessed, “I was still a ‘young man’ at the time, so I didn’t have any experience. I was really scared, but when I looked at the camera, I saw my mother eating popcorn and chatting with NSX. very happy…”.
After all, Mintz-Plasse guessed that the reason his mother was present when he first acted in the hot scene was most likely because Plasse was not yet 18 years old at the time. Afraid that her child would have no experience and obstacles, she was not afraid to be present at the studio to monitor and cheer for her child. This is actually a legal requirement of the film crew to ensure the safety of young actors. Luckily, Mintz-Plasse managed to pull off this tough Superbad scene in the end.
This is not the only case when mothers “intervene” in the Superbad project. Actor and screenwriter Seth Rogen shared that his mother contributed a “joke” to the script for Christopher Mintz-Plasse’s character McLovin. That’s the episode McLovin used a fake passport, raised his age to 23, but then he was “captured” when he was intimate with a girl “I am not 18”.
Mintz-Plasse often plays supporting roles in popular Hollywood comedy projects, such as Kick-Ass, Neighbors, Pitch Perfect… However, perhaps Superbad is still the film that leaves the most impressions for the actor’s career. 8X, which won him Breakthrough Performance at the MTV Movie Awards.
