The crowdfunded Bleak Faith: Forsaken has released the latest gameplay footage of the epic boss fight.
This game is a bit different from other Soulslike games in that it has a more “metallic” setting.
The Soulslike genre has evolved a lot over the past decade, with From Software’s efforts influencing a plethora of games released. While gamers are still looking forward to Elden Ring day by day, there are many other interesting games of the same genre that can attract gamers’ attention. One of those games is Bleak Faith: Forsaken, directed by creative duo Miso Vukcevic and Mirko Stantic of indie development team Archangel Studios. Like other games inspired by Dark Souls, this is a game that focuses on exploring a vast interconnected world, warding off threats in tough battles.
The first gameplay trailer for Bleak Faith: Forsaken was shown a few years ago, with pre-alpha footage showing the player through a series of narrow corridors, mixing it up with open areas. This title is a bit different from other Soulslike games in that it has a more “metallic” setting where the player must explore the last ruins of a civilization and its history. . The developers have released a short video showcasing a boss battle that players will encounter in the game, along with a very polished gameplay.
This video by Bleak Faith: Forsaken shows the player confronting a cyborg-dragon-like boss with a metal skeleton and tattered wings. Known as the Silicon Visage, it can attack with wings, claws, tails or even lunge at the player. It also has the ability to fly and can summon lasers to attack. They can take the form of balls chasing the player, raindrops falling from the sky, or even a traditional laser cannon shot straight out of the mouth.
As the battle progresses, Silicon Visage can be seen splitting into smaller versions when taking enough damage. Some combat abilities that gamers can utilize are also shown, with the player character build in the video appearing to rely heavily on ice and magic attacks. During the fight, the character demonstrates the ability to dodge, while leaving a trail of ice behind to damage the boss, along with a series of spells that can create ice spikes around.
Like other Dark Souls games, tough, epic boss battles like this will pretty much appear in the world of Bleak Faith: Forsaken. Gamers will have a variety of battle approaches, and the game also features RPG content such as leveling up or changing careers. All in all, the game has a lot of potential, and gamers can follow the progress of Bleak Faith: Forsaken by following the game’s official Twitter account.
