Hiromu Arakawa, the popular manga author behind Fullmetal Alchemist, has announced the first look at her latest manga.
Few details about the untitled manga are known, but it is said to be set in feudal Japan and will focus on the story of an archer. The new series will serialize in Square Enix’s Shonen Gangan magazine, the same publication that originally published Fullmetal Alchemist. In June, Shonen Gangan revealed that the studio would be making some new announcements in time for Fullmetal Alchemist’s 20th anniversary. While this new manga doesn’t appear to be related to Edward and Alphonse’s adventures, it does appear to be part of the new announcements the magazine has covered. The next issue of Shonen Gangan, to be released on July 12, will be full of details regarding the new manga project. Since the end of Fullmetal Alchemist in 2010, Arakawa has continued to work on the manga adaptation, Arslan’s Legend of Hero. Manga, based on a series of novels by Yoshiki Tanaka. It is currently unknown if that series will continue once this new manga begins serialization.
