VCS Spring 2023 results today April 14: Although Cerberus Esports took the lead in the first game, they still couldn’t stop GAM from making a comeback.

Game 1

Cerberus Esports got off to a near-perfect start as they got kills for Yado and Pun to create a huge advantage in the top half of the map. The game seemed to have completely belonged to CES if they had not had Draktharr’s missed penalty phase, creating conditions for Kati to rob Baron, helping GAM to turn the situation around. However, they still could not end the game against the power of 2 generals Veigar and Xayah.
Over the next few minutes, GAM tried to split the opponent’s lineup and do odd push situations, while CES continued to focus on the big goals. CES succeeded in getting a second Baron with the Dragon Soul Transformation, while GAM’s split push failed when Kati and Kiaya fell to the huge amount of damage. Not missing the opportunity, CES attacked directly in the mid lane and easily toppled the opponent’s main house when 3 members of GAM were still on the countdown board.
Game 2

CES continued to confidently pick a team with strong teamfights, and they tried to overturn GAM’s split push with kills aimed at Kiaya’s Gwen card. However, the duo Levi – Kati continuously stirred and broke the Three-Headed Dog formation, making them unable to fight smoothly.
All CES hopes were on Pun with the Malphite card that would finish off GAM’s main ADC, however, Pun’s Unstoppable use cases didn’t work as expected. Losing the most effective weapon to open the fight, CES was helpless against the power of GAM and had to admit defeat in game 2.
