After many years of release, gamers who own Dying Light will now be able to get an upgraded version that comes with the game’s DLC for free.
It’s been seven years since Techland released the first Dying Light, the game has provided an entertaining experience for fans of the zombie genre, and its success has fueled excitement for its sequel. The game launches in 2022. But while the second version of Dying Light is doing well for now, the developers continue to add life to the first title by providing new updates.
Released in February 2022, the sequel to Dying Light was well received by fans and sold 5 million copies in the first month after its release. For comparison, the original Dying Light has sold 20 million copies since its release in 2015. Amidst Dying Light 2’s growing popularity, the developers haven’t forgotten the original game either. In fact, Dying Light was recently upgraded with the release of the next generation update for Xbox Series X | S and PS5 as well as PS4 Pro. Dying Light owners will now also receive both those upgrades and free DLC from Techland.
According to the announcement, all gamers who own Dying Light will be able to upgrade to the Enhanced Edition for free. This means gamers will get all of Dying Light: The following’s complete downloadable content with a new storyline, new maps, and new vehicles. Gamers will also receive the DLCs The Bozak Horde, Crash Test Skin Pack, Ultimate Survivor Bundle, Cuisine, and Cargo. All of these DLC packs are downloadable directly in the game starting today.
The free upgrade comes shortly after the developers released the brand new “Dieselpunk” DLC for Dying Light seven years after its release. This DLC allows players to equip steampunk-style gear including a new chainsaw and the sword “Flesh Ripper” among other things.
Meanwhile, Techland is also working on more updates for the sequel game. The game’s lead designer Tymon Smektała has stated that the studio is currently working on the first major DLC and that it will run alongside the game’s main storyline, where it revolves around a specific area that is off-limits. by Villedor.
