Manga creator Hiroya Oku posted on his Twitter account on Tuesday that his GIGANT manga will end with the tenth compiled book volume.
The series began releasing in August 2020.
Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga and it describes the story:
Rei Yokoyamada, a high school student whose father works for a film production company, is inspired to create his own short film with his friends. One day, while looking for an actor, he discovers tabloid reports that adult movie star Papico lives in his area. When he took them down to protect her, he ran into the woman himself. Little does he know that Papico is about to be dragged into a strange, supernatural happening… where she grows to the size of a giant!
Oku launched the manga with Shogakukan in Big Comic Superior magazine in May 2017. Shogakukan publishes the manga’s eighth compiled book volume on the 30th, and the company will publish the ninth volume on the 30th. Seven Seas Entertainment released 5 episodes on May 25.
Author Oku (Gantz) ended his Inuyashiki manga series in the 10th volume in September 2017. Kodansha Comics is publishing the manga in North America in print, and Crunchyroll has released the series digitally. . An anime adaptation of the manga premiered in October 2017 and is available to stream on Amazon’s Anime Strike service. A live-action film adaptation premiered in Japan in April 2018.
