Not Riot Games, but Garena is the name “sticky” in the question of plagiarism of the Genshin Impact game.
In recent days, League of Legends has launched a series of Star Guardian events combined with an extremely spectacular 10-year-old birthday, even each gamer will receive 10 free costumes on this occasion. But instead of receiving praise for giving away free costumes, recently the Vietnamese publisher of League of Legends was accused of plagiarizing another famous name in the international gaming industry.
More specifically, the publisher of League of Legends in Vietnam – Garena has been accused by many gamers of plagiarizing the image in the Genshin Impact game. In particular, the background image in the 10th birthday event of League of Legends has similarities with the shape of Seirai Island in Genshin Impact.
As one of the blockbuster games in the international gaming industry, Genshin Impact has a large fan base all over the world, and Vietnam is no exception. Because of that, many Vietnamese gamers have discovered the “familiar” image in League of Legends and left photos of Seirai Island.
Accordingly, many gamers have commented that Riot Games is often the one to “suit” other brands to plagiarize them, but this time the “music company” is the side that is suspected of plagiarism. On the other hand, there are also many gamers who think that this is completely unrelated to Riot Games, instead Garena is the name responsible for all the images in the League of Legends birthday event at the Vietnamese server.
Currently, Garena has not yet spoken about this drama, and the gaming community has all left words of “coffee” from the Vietnamese publisher of League of Legends.
