On the third day of the 2023 Swiss Formula World Championship, the tournament found the first two names to advance to the Quarterfinals: GEN and JDG. According to many gamers, this is not a surprising result for most international League of Legends gamers, because GEN and JDG are the reigning champions of LCK and LPL – the two strongest League of Legends regions in the world currently.

JDG is the first representative of LPL to reach the Quarterfinals of Worlds 2023.

In game 1, G2 took the lead in the laning phase thanks to Caps’ ability to push towers and roam. But towards the second half of the game, G2 lost more and more in team fights with GEN. Finally, GEN ended the game at 31 minutes with a Quadra Kill for Chovy.
