According to recent Genshin Impact leaks, the Golden Apple Archipelago is likely to return soon.
The archipelago was only a temporary map when it was first released in Genshin Impact 1.6. This area created a link between Mondstadt-Liyue and Inazuma, tying the two stories together.
The Golden Apple Islands are a set of islands east of Mondstadt formed by the winds of the Anemo Archon. According to the leakers, it’s a neutral area that doesn’t belong to any country. This space has been covered with fog for many years, preventing people from entering the area.
When Klee receives an ominous warning from the Dodoco King (Alice is not present in person) that her beloved Dodoco will be captured if she does not arrive at the mysterious archipelago. The Traveler, Jean, Barbara and Klee embark on a journey to the archipelago with Venti’s assistance. The rest of the story is about solving countless puzzles and exploring the archipelago to uncover King Dodoco’s plan and stop him from kidnapping Dodoco.
Genshin Impact 2.8 is expected to be released in June 2022. New leaks have indicated that the Golden Apple Islands will return to the game as part of an update.
This area was originally introduced in the very popular gacha title as part of the 1.6 update. Islands are a big addition to the game, based on Klee and a new adventure.
Fans were quite disappointed when the islands were removed from the game after the event in version 1.6 of the game ended. Thankfully, new leaks have surfaced suggesting this area may be making a return as part of the game’s 2.8 update.
The archipelago was originally introduced in Genshin Impact during the biggest Summer event ever. There are activities like sailing, introducing beaches and more when the archipelago was originally introduced into the game, so the release comes as part of an update.
The gaming community is expecting to receive the most information about the 2.8 update around the Beta, which comes a few weeks before the official release.
