Coffee Stain Studios surprised the Summer Game Fest with a hilarious trailer announcing the development of Goat Simulator 3.
Summer Game Fest has had countless big announcements about AAA and indie titles, but one of the show’s biggest surprises came from an indie developer. Coffee Stain Studios took the opportunity to present the latest game in their Goat Simulator series with a hilarious cinematic trailer that captures the series’ signature chaos. Goat Simulator 3 is confirmed to be in development and these goats will have new methods to destroy humanity.
The Goat Simulator 3 trailer at the Summer Game Fest kicked off with a scene of a man in gym clothes wearing headphones and smiling. As he started jogging, a small army of goats appeared behind him and caused chaos. The goats butts passersby, shoots rocket launchers, uses telepathy to increase the size of a person’s head, etc. It can be seen that the trailer is made with the style of the Dead Island 2 trailer, and the goats This will have in hand a new store of exciting toys.
Gamers who love Goat Simulator will be excited to know that the game offers an open world experience for players to create endless mayhem. Chaos is more fun when it comes to friends, so Goat Simulator 3 will offer up to 4 players co-op both locally and online. What’s new in this sequel is that there will be a series of mini-games that the goats can play together.
Of course, those aren’t the only new features in Goat Simulator 3. Another mode hinted at in Goat Simulator 3’s published screenshots is the ability to role-play different animals. Maybe this will be a minus point if the game strays from the main character of the divine goats, but the developer Coffee Stain Studios will still do this. Other animals that gamers can role-play include a pig, a rhinoceros and a giraffe.
If gamers are wondering when Goat Simulator 2 was finally released and if I missed it, there is no need to worry. In true Goat Simulator style, the developers at Coffee Stain Studios have omitted a number. This could be just a joke or maybe a Goat Simulator 2 game version existed that Coffee Stain Studios never let it be released to the public. Either way, Goat Simulator 3 will essentially be the second game in the series and a direct sequel to the first Goat Simulator. While a release date for Goat Simulator 3 has yet to be revealed, Coffee Stain will certainly share more information in the coming months.
