The recently leaked Ragnarok installment has hinted at a release date around September or October, but an official release date has been revealed.
By connecting Greek mythology to the harsh Nordic wilderness, GoW 2018 is the new beginning of Santa Monica Studio’s iconic action series. The latest installment of the franchise sees protagonist Kratos, along with his young son Atreus, embark on a journey to the highest peak in the Nine Worlds. Ragnarok intends to continue this journey by describing the end of Ragnarok. The game is said to see Kratos and Atreus search for Tyr, the deposed Norse god of War, and face Atreus’ epic fate as the trickster god Loki. A developer recently assured fans that God of War Ragnarok will release in 2022, and the game’s release date has finally been revealed.
Putting an end to fans’ worries, PlayStation (via Twitter) has revealed that God of War Ragnarok will officially come to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on November 9, 2022. A thrilling new trailer brings The title “Father and Son” was also uploaded to PlayStation’s YouTube to commemorate the event. The epic trailer shows Kratos and Atreus battling the draugr on a mountaintop, under the supervision of Odin’s crows, before Kratos is thrown into a snowy forest below. Atreus followed his father down the cliff, allowing the dynamic duo to take on the giant wolf Fenrir of Norse legend. The trailer then reasserts God of War Ragnarok’s release date as November 9.
Fans will surely be delighted to know the release date of God of War Ragnarok. A PC release of God of War Ragnarok has been highly requested by the gaming community following the success of the recent PC version of God of War. The latest installment in the traditionally PlayStation-exclusive franchise made its way to PC this year, more than three years after its 2018 release, with PC players enjoying upgrades like Nvidia DLSS and Reflex support. Although God of War Ragnarok is due out on November 9, it looks like PC players will have to wait even longer to experience the end of the Nordic saga.
