The official Twitter account of Shueisha Publishing House, Young Jump magazine announced Wednesday that Satoru’s manga Golden Kamuy has entered its climax. The 277th chapter of the manga launched on Thursday.
Viz Media is releasing the manga in English and it describes the first volume:
In the early 20th century, Russian-Japanese veteran Saichi the “immortal” Sugimoto outlined the meager existence of a postwar gold rush in the Hokkaido wilderness. When he stumbles across a map to a treasure trove of gold hidden by the Ainu clan, he begins an arduous search to find it. But Sugimoto isn’t the only interested party, and everyone who knows about gold will kill for it! Faced with the harsh conditions of the northern wilderness, ruthless criminals, and rogue Japanese soldiers, Sugimoto will need all his skill and luck — and the help of one girl. Ainu’s name is Asirpa — to survive.
