Kyoto Animation released official, detailed instructions on how to recreate Violet Evergarden’s central protagonist’s hairstyle.

Kodoani.com – Kyoto Animation has posted detailed instructions for girls to braid their hair like Violet’s sister.

The anime’s official Twitter account gave step-by-step instructions on how to recreate Violet’s unique hairstyle. Step 1 top left shows Violet’s hair before doing any braids. Step 2 shows you how to braid your hair in half on either side of your head, starting near the top of your head and gradually braiding it down behind your ears. Once you’ve reached the top of your head, stop braiding, gather the rest of your hair into two braids, and secure them with a hair tie. Step 3 shows how to braid both sides. Step 4 explains how to roll the braids up the back of your head, clockwise for the left braid and counterclockwise for the right braid. Step 5 illustrates how to pin two rolled braids in place with four U-shaped hairpins. Finally, Step 6 shows how to tie the ribbon at the base of the rolled braids.
