On December 5, the official trailer of the Harry & Meghan documentary series was announced after months of waiting. The video, which is more than a minute long, shows Prince Harry and his wife Meghan talking about their unpleasant experience with the British Royal Family.
“I was very scared. I don’t want history to repeat the hurt and suffering of women who get married in this institution,” the Duke of Sussex said of his wife’s difficult time in the palace.
The trailer attracted great attention from the world online community, with more than 1.9 million views on YouTube as of the morning of December 7. However, instead of being supported, the trailer for the documentary of the escapist royal couple was hated by the audience. The number of “dislikes” (dislikes) reached more than 160,000, while the number of “likes” (likes) was just over 18,000, a difference of nearly 9 times.
More importantly, netizens began to spread the trend of opening comments with the phrase “I like the paragraph…” to mock and criticize former members of the British Royal Family.
“I love the part where Harry and Meghan wrote the letter saying the monarchy was a terrible system of oppression just before signing the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.”
“I love the part where Harry advises people to quit their jobs if they’re feeling stressed, and instead live off of a multi-million dollar trust fund. It is easy to understand”.
“I love the part where Harry is so concerned about the press and his family’s safety that he hires paparazzi to document their escape to private life through interviews, podcasts and series. document. So brave and so hypocritical that it brought tears to my eyes!”
“I love the part where after spending 39 years in the royal family, Harry suddenly realizes there’s a hierarchy.”
“I love how Netflix turned this story into a new genre: comedy reality fiction.”
“I especially liked the part where Netflix fueled the Sussexes’ envy by releasing the first trailer to spoil the Welsh trip to America. It’s inspiring.”
The Harry & Meghan documentary streamed on December 8 and season two on December 15.

Previously, the official teaser for the 6-part Harry & Meghan series aired on the morning of December 1 (US time). The short video reveals a series of never-before-seen photos of the celebrity couple, including moments of moody Meghan at royal events, even in tears, and of their new life in California.
Worth mentioning, the documentary released the official teaser at the time when Prince William and Princess Kate were on a visit in Boston (USA). This coincidence led to Harry and Meghan being criticized by the British Royal side for deliberately disrupting their brother and sister-in-law, wanting to attract attention.
