The producer of Hataraku Maou-sama! recently revealed information about the specific release date of ss2 and announced a new trailer and poster.
Hataraku Maou-sama! finally returns with a second season after nearly ten years since the first part was released, and the specific release date of the film has also been fixed through the newly announced trailer and poster. The first season was a huge success almost a decade ago, and since then Hataraku Maou-sama! become one of the most awaited movies for the sequel. Thankfully, the audience’s wait will be rewarded when a new studio has been selected to produce season 2.
Hataraku Maou-sama! ss2 will officially release in Japan on July 14, and information on the release date will be announced through the new trailer of the work. Interestingly, the series will be streaming on Disney+ in Japan this summer, however an international release date has yet to be announced.
Hataraku Maou-sama! ss2 will be directed by a new studio, whereby the film’s director is Daisuke Tsukushi and the work is produced by Studio 3Hz. Yudai Iino replaced Atsushi Ikariya as the character designer for the new season, but the original scriptwriter, composer, and several other staff members are all returning from the first season. Minami Kuribayashi also returned from the first season to perform the opening theme for Season 2, “WITH.”
New additions to the cast for the second season include Hina Kino as Alas=Ramus, Kikuko Inoue as Lailah, Takehito Koyasu as Gabriel, Yuko Kaida as Amane Oguro, and Kenichi Ogata as Camio. They will be joining the returning faces from the first season including Ryota Ohsaka as Demon King Satan, Yoko Hikasa as the heroine Emilia, Nao Toyama as Chiho Sasaki, Yuki Ono as Demon General Alciel, Hiro Shimono in as Demon General Lucifer, Kanae Ito as Suzuno Kamazuki, Asuka Nishi as Rika Suzuki, Yumi Uchiyama as Mayumi Kisaki, Azumi Asakura as Emerada, and Yuichi Iguchi as Mitsuki Sarue.
Hataraku Maou-sama! is a series of light novels written by Satoshi Wagahara and illustrated by Oniku. The work has been serialized in ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Bunko since February 10, 2011. The plot revolves around the demon lord Satan, who, after failing to take over his entire world, retreats to another world through a portal. translate (specifically to Japan). Hataraku Maou-sama! ss2 is expected to be released on July 14, 2022.
