Kodoani.com – Not long ago, the online community discussed the similarities between the characters in Genshin Impact and the Princess Primary series, as Japanese fans have noticed.
Now, a new scandal has arisen when miHoYo is accused of plagiarism. However, this time, it is not related to Genshin Impact but to their other title, Honkai Impact 3rd.
Users pointed out several elements that were allegedly copied from other sources in the promotional video below:
A user created a compilation video in which we can see three scenes very similar to YOASOBI’s “Yuusha” music video, the opening of Sousou no Frieren, the opening of the second season of Mushoku Tensei, and the opening “Black Catcher” from the anime black clover.
Apparently, the similarities in the animation generated comments from the Japanese community:
“This company always copies.”
“Their copying speed is really impressive.”
“Only a stupid Japanese person wouldn’t appreciate a company this big taking inspiration from them.”
“There is no copyright on the staging so it’s okay!”
“They are copying too fast.”
“We should be grateful that they copied us.”
“I play this company’s games, but this bunch’s credibility as a company is almost zero.”
“The controversy about completely copying the opening (or ending) layout of an anime, I feel like I’ve seen this before, but when did it happen?”
This isn’t the first time miHoYo has faced accusations of plagiarism, and here we have yet another scandal involving one of their flagship titles, Honkai Impact 3rd.
