How to Survive as a Maid in a Horror Game Chapter 2: Summary
Hilda prepares for the day’s manual labor. She started weeding with Emilie and gained a lot of experience from that. She eventually earned the title of “weeding expert”. As everyone knows, in any world, Money is always important, so Hilda also devotes herself to quests to collect as much money as possible.
Hilda suddenly increased her speed while picking grass, shocking everyone. She also mistakenly pulled out a few flowers, which angered the head maid, as the flowers were “The Widow’s Thrill” greatly loved by the Earl. She inspects the field and discovers that it is not just a flower but a whole Bouquet which makes her even angry.
Hilda apologizes for her mistake, and the head maid warns her that all this will be compensated for from her daily salary. The other maids began to gossip among themselves about how strange Hilda had been acting lately. They even started slandering Emilie for being close with someone as clumsy as Hilda.
Hilda overheard the maids’ conversation and was furious that they all kept slacking off while she was working hard, and they still spoke badly of her. Then she looked at Emilie and thought that she was the only one who did nothing wrong.
Hilda approaches Emilie and apologizes to her for letting her join his mess, but Emile is not angry; instead, she smiles and asks Hilda to work hard with her and get things done soon. Hilda and Emilie soon finished picking grass so they returned.
Hilda then checked her experience bar and noticed that it had increased a lot thanks to the quests she had taken on recently. Her daily salary also comes in, bringing her total gold to 350. She feels extremely happy to see the money she earns from working hard.
Sadly for Hilda, happiness quickly turned to sadness when 250 coins were deducted from her gold because of a mistake she made while picking up weeds. To release her anger, the game itself sighed at her making her even angrier. She started smashing the stats screen and asked to quit the game.
Hilda accidentally hit the exit button causing the game to reload. She tried to stop the reloading by begging and praying, but it didn’t stop. She is sent back to where she was in the beginning. Good thing her property was not taken away from her.
Hilda tries to get another maid to deliver the medicine to the master, but the head maid forces her to go because the master himself requested this. With tears in her eyes, Hilda brought the medicine to the Master’s room. She tries to leave immediately after leaving the medicine outside the bedroom, but suddenly Adrian appears behind her with a look of horror.
