In the final episode of Bleach Thousand Year Blood-war part 2, we saw Senjumaru Shutara demonstrate his terrible strength when he single-handedly defeated all the Schutzstaffel members. So with such strength, is she the strongest female character in Bleach currently?
Senjumaru Shutara’s unique feat in the Thousand Year Blood-War part 2 finale has sparked discussion among fans about whether or not she is the strongest woman in Bleach. Known as one of the more attractive members of Squad Zero, Senjumaru showed off his true abilities in the final episode to take down Yhwach’s forces.
In fact, her incredible power shakes all space and worlds, as she weaves fabrics to seal her opponents. Although Senjumaru’s true power is not shown in the manga, the anime adaptation of Thousand Year Blood-War depicts her in a completely new light.
After the release of the final part of Thousand Year Blood-war Part 2, some fans were wondering – “Is Senjumaru the strongest woman in Bleach?” Considering how she defeated six incredibly powerful enemies with her Bankai, Senjumaru Shutara currently holds the crown as the strongest woman in Bleach.
Single-handedly defeating Schutzstaffel Yhwach members with Bankai makes Senjumaru Shutara the strongest woman in Bleach.
Up until the end of Thousand Year Blood-War part 2, neither of the two female members of Squad Zero, Senjumaru Shutara and Kirio Hikifune, were considered the “strongest woman” in Bleach. However, the finale, in a departure from the source material, depicts Squad Zero as stronger than the entire force of the Gotei 13.
Thus, Senjumaru Shutara, along with Kirio Hikifune, became stronger than any other female character in Tite Kubo’s masterpiece. However, since Senjumaru showed off her true abilities in the episode, while Kirio Hikifune has yet to do the same, Senjumaru is now considered the strongest woman in Bleach.
There is no doubt that she can defeat Unohana Retsu, who held the title of strongest woman in the series until the last episode. So how strong is Senjumaru Shutara in Bleach? As evident in the Bleach Thousand Year Blood-war part 2 finale, the Great Weave Guard’s astronomical power level is enough to shake all realms, including Soul Society and the World of the Living.
As revealed in the episode, each member of Squad Zero possesses powers that can shake heaven and earth. So they linked their lives together and sealed their true swords in a blood-sworn pact. This seal can only be broken if three of the four members sacrifice their lives, leaving only one member to unleash his full power.
In the final episode of Bleach Thousand Year Blood-war part 2, the Squad Zero members unanimously chose Senjumaru to take down Yhwach’s forces. So they committed suicide and broke the blood pact, which finally allowed Senjumaru to tap into his true potential.
After acquiring her true Zanpakuto, the Great Weave Guard activated her Bankai: Shatatsu Karagara Shigarami No Tsuji, shaking Seireitei and the World of the Living. Interestingly, none of the female characters in Bleach (other than Kirio) have the ability to influence other worlds, which only strengthens the argument that Senjumaru is the strongest woman in the series.
So what does her Bankai do? Since the anime hasn’t explained her Bankai, it’s all just speculation. However, when her Bankai is activated, a giant yellow loom appears with red cloth. According to one theory, this red cloth can be considered the fabric of reality and it binds the ultimate fate to its victims.
In other words, as the strongest woman in Bleach, Senjumaru Shutara has the ability to weave the reality and fate of her opponents. Furthermore, Senjumaru’s Bankai, Shatatsu Karagara Shigarami No Tsuji, grants her the ability to manipulate space within her Bankai.
As seen, the Great Weave Guard has covered the areas around her with fabric made from the giant loom. Almost like an extension of herself, her Bankai then weaved rooms of special fabric and trapped each of Yhwach’s forces within them. Furthermore, Senjumaru’s Bankai has the ability to accurately determine enemy weaknesses.
As the strongest woman in Bleach, Senjumaru Shutara wove six tapestries to fend off Yhwach’s six forces. She unraveled her first bond, Banra no Me (The Eyes of Many Branches) to trap Lille Barro in a room of intricately patterned fabric. This room eventually formed eight mirrors that reflected Lille’s X-Axis back at him.
Moving on, the Great Weave Guard envelops Askin Nakk Le Vaar next, in her second hook, Hagane no Yoroi (Armor of Blade). The carpet of this room was strewn with thorny spikes, which she eventually entangled Askin.
Next, she drowned Sternritter ‘C’ Pernida with her third Hank, Bowels of Black Sand, before freezing Gerald Valkyre with her fourth Hank, Freezing Bed Linens. As the strongest woman in Bleach, Senjumaru Shutara then weaved the fourth hook, Yakenohara (Burning Field) to create a procession of red-burning clothes and trap Jugram Haschwalth.
Finally, she resolves her sixth and final hank, Yamio no Hoshiyo (Star of the Dark Night) to overwhelm Uryu Ishida. It seems to mimic the effects of Auswahlen, draining Uryu of his vitality.
Senjumaru Shutara then sealed his victim in six decorative tapestries and called it Shide no Rokushiki Ukimon no Hata, meaning loom of deadly patterns. As the strongest woman in Bleach, Senjumaru single-handedly defeated six of Yhwach’s strongest characters, thereby demonstrating her strength.
