This movie starts with a car accident and Kim Dan ends up with one of the worst people he can imagine. A type of man who only wants him for his body but doesn’t see much value other than it. From the beginning the series had no promise of romance, just an obsessed man taking advantage of the weak.
However, the story is in the Yaoi genre, which gives people hope for what the future of the series will be like. And the key word here is hope, because this roller coaster is on its way to destruction. Or the devastation of a weakling with a gentle streak that draws people with Jinx towards him, and loan sharks.
Kim Dan has overcome many financial problems in life thanks to Jaekyung, but this athlete is not an altruistic person. He expects Kim to pay back the money the doctor owes him and uses him for the time being. The story tries to portray that Jaekyung was developing feelings for Kim Dan but then threw it away for the sake of drama.
Jinx Chapter 38: The story so far
Previous events Jinx Chapter 38, even the previous Chapter, is something that many readers do not care much about. Manhwa Yaoi promised a lot during its release and then broke those expectations every time. The relationship between Kim and Jaekyung is not healthy. However, it still makes readers curious.
A good series keeps readers interested until the very end, but manhwa is all about attracting readers in every way possible. In Jinx’s case, we see it play out with Jinx’s endless suffering and his patience to bear it all. If it weren’t for your patience, the series would have ended a long time ago.
Furthermore, Kim Dan is completely suffering from Stockholm syndrome at this point in the manhwa and wants to do things to make Jaekyung feel better. The doctor has lost all reason, not even thinking about his grandmother but instead focusing only on his abuser. However, Kim Dan’s messy response is what makes readers come back to the series.
In the traditional story, if Kim Dan were a girl, she would be a backward heroine with no other features. But since this is a game in the Yaoi genre, it’s a fair game. And thanks to Kim Dan’s actions (or inactions), Jaekyung thinks he can do whatever he wants with him. The two were created for each other in a perverse sense.
Jinx Chapter 38: What will happen?
Jinx Chapter 38 will continue with the scene where Kim Dan gets sick after drinking a protein shake. The bracelet was intended to be received by Jaekyung as a gift from where they were staying. To cheer for the celebrity who has decided to stay where they are, or maybe not.
The way the scene was conveyed suggested foul play, such as someone wanting to drug the Korean MMA fighter before the fight and make him quit. Thinking, a little miscalculation led to Doc being the one to drink it and get poisoned, making things complicated. Now Jaekyung can’t just cast his Jinx on Kim and take out his frustrations before the main event.
However, this is also an opportunity for the two main characters to meet again. The two are now stuck in a cycle of being apart (emotionally) and then becoming closer than ever (emotionally).
But both of them don’t know clearly about their feelings for each other and are sitting still when it comes to their love life. The next chapter should at least incite an event where Jaekyung makes up for how badly he treated Kim.
