Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 now features the brutal Shibuya Incident, as the situation gets worse with each episode. If Gojo being sealed wasn’t bad enough, a recent episode also featured Sukuna fighting Jogo, which ultimately destroyed a large portion of Shibuya.
The fight with Dagon proved that everyone present in Shibuya, even the strongest, were no match for the terrifying villains. Gojo is the only one who can defeat them all, who was sealed even before the fight began.
The only hope now is Yuta, who is also a special level wizard, but he is nowhere to be found. Yuta only appeared in the prequel film and has yet to appear in the present timeline. Where is Yuta Okkutsu in Jujutsu Kaisen during the Shibuya Incident?
While the witches were living their worst nightmare during Jujutsu Kaisen’s Shibuya Incident, Yuta Okkotsu was training in Africa with Miguel. Miguel was one of the curse users during the Night Parade of the Hundred Demons that Geto started.
Gojo defeated Miguel, the strongest of Geto’s curse users. He even destroyed Miguel’s Black Rope and forced him to train Yuta in Africa. After the Scary Womb arc, Megumi briefly mentions that Yuta is abroad but doesn’t explain everything.
Gojo knows that Yuta has the potential to even surpass him so he does everything he can to help Yuta reach that level. The Shibuya incident ended around midnight and Yuta arrived at 1:30 am. The Shibuya Incident arc of the manga ends in chapter 136. However, the Young Witch will debut in Itadori’s Test arc in chapter 137.
Therefore, Yuta has no role in the Shibuya arc. However, it’s still possible that Season 2 will end with Yuta appearing before his superiors and taking the Binding Oath to kill Yuji Itadori. He will be one of the main characters of the series starting in Season 3.
