VIZ Media released an amazing new animated manga trailer for Sensor, the upcoming cosmic horror manga by acclaimed author Junji Ito.
VIZ Media has released a trailer for horror master Junji Ito’s latest work, Sensor
The motion picture-style trailer features one of the monsters from Sensor, a deadly creature that appears like a human at a distance but attacks its prey with their hair. Sensor is the latest creation from Junji Ito, creator of Uzumaki and Tomie.
Ito first started writing and drawing manga as a hobby in 1984, when he was still working as a dental assistant. His first story was published in 1987 and since then he has become one of the most popular manga and horror authors in the world. His works have been adapted into many films and anime, the latest of which is Uzumaki, produced by Adult Swim and Ghost in the Shell studio Production IG, and is scheduled to open this fall. .

Publisher VIZ Media describes Sensor’s story:
A woman walks alone at the foot of Mount Sengoku. A man appeared, said he was waiting for her, and invited her to a nearby village. What is surprising is that the village is covered with hair-like volcanic glass fibers, and they all glow with a bright golden color. At night, as the villagers practiced the custom of looking up at the starry sky, countless unidentified flying objects rained down on them — the opening act of impending terror!
Sensor will be published under the VIZ Signature label and will be released on August 17 for $19.99. VIZ has also published many of Ito’s earlier works in English, including Gyo, Tomie, and Ito’s Eisner Award-winning adaptation of Ito. Frankenstein by Mary Shelley author.
