The extremely popular horror game Poppy Playtime is now completely free on Steam. The product of an indie game studio called MOB Games, Poppy Playtime was successful in part because of its viral videos at launch, which many popular YouTubers dreaded when they first played Poppy Playtime.
Poppy Playtime follows in the footsteps of iconic horror franchises including Five Nights at Freddy’s and Bendy and the Ink Machine. It seems to be inspired by both, with a fairly simple plot the innocent-looking characters turn into menacing and terrifying creatures that the player must get rid of. The first chapter of the game features the villain Huggy Wuggy while Chapter 2 features the new villain, Mommy Long Legs.
If gamers have never experienced Poppy Playtime, they can now download this horror game completely for free on Steam. Previously, Poppy Playtime was usually sold for 4.99 USD (equivalent to 114,000 VND). That’s because developer MOB Games wants to bring Poppy Playtime to a wider audience of gamers and sell Chapter 2, which will be available as DLC.
