The movie Lalala Star Tanjō premieres in December with the returning cast and staff
Kodoani.com – Poplar Bunko announced on Friday that the children’s book series Kaiketsu Zorori by Yutaka Hara is adapting a new anime titled Kaiketsu Zorori : Lalala ♪ Star Tanjō (A Star Is Born, a reference to the American films of the same name) that will premiere in Japan in December. The film will be based on the 2019 book Kaiketsu Zorori: Star Tanjō, but will feature a new plot. The story revolves around Zorori’s meeting with a girl named Hipopo, who wants to be a star, but can’t sing for some reason.
This will be the first new anime since 2017’s Kaiketsu Zorori: ZZ no Himitsu and the anime marking the series’ 35th anniversary.
Bandai Namco Pictures and Ajia-do will again produce. Atsuhiro Tomioka, the main writer of the previous two Kaiketsu Zorori television anime, is returning to pen the series’ scripts. Kōhei Tanaka, who composed the music for previous installments in the franchise, will return to score the film.
Kōichi Yamadera, Rikako Aikawa, Motoko Kumai, and Yuuki Kaji will return from the previous TV anime as Zorori, Ishishi, Noshishi, and Beat respectively.
The story follows Zorori, a mischievous bandit fox who dreams of becoming the “King of Jokes.” Zorori aims to “build his own castle and make a beautiful princess his wife”, and he embarks on failure after failure with his two companions. the wild boar Ishishi and Noshishi.
Motto! Majime ni Fumajime Kaiketsu Zorori (More! Seriously Unserious Incredible Zorori), the anime premiered season 3 on NHK Educational on April 6.
The anime that premiered in April 2020 is the first television anime of the series in 13 years. The show featured episodes with stories that had not appeared in previous book and movie adaptations. The anime also features a new, original character Beat, Zorori’s rival.
The anime’s second series premiered on NHK E-TV in April 2021.
Hara started the series in 1987. These books have inspired a movie in 1993, a television anime series from 2004-2005, another television anime series from 2005 to 2007 and a second film in 2006. The previous films were short works that were shown alongside other anime series, but the series has since inspired four feature-length films in 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2017.
