Recently, the producer of the anime Kakegurui Twin announced a new trailer and poster along with information about the film’s voice cast.
After the live-action series, Kakegurui Twin – a spin-off from Homura Kawamoto and Toru Naomura’s Kakegurui gambling manga – will officially get an anime adaptation. The film is expected to air on Netflix on August 4. Along with that, information related to the work such as the voice cast or production team has also been revealed.
Kakegurui Twin is a Japanese manga series written by Homura Kawamoto and illustrated by Kei Saiki. The series is both a side story and a prequel to Kakegurui, written by Kawamoto and illustrated by Toru Naomura. The series has been serialized in Square Enix’s Gangan Joker magazine since September 2015, with the individual chapters licensed by Square Enix and published in eleven volumes as of February 2021. The manga has been re-licensed and released in English in North America by Yen Press. An original MAPPA anime series will be released on Netflix in August 2022.
Kakegurui Twin takes place a year before the events of the main series and Yumeko Jabami’s appearance at Hyakkaou Private Academy. The series focuses on transfer student Mary Saotome, after joining Hyakkaou Private Academy, she learns about the school’s gambling system and quickly begins to adapt to it.
