Kodansha announced a digital giveaway and sale program where readers can claim the first volumes of the publisher’s most popular manga series for free.
Japan’s largest publisher is giving away the first volume of a select manga until August 2 for free.
According to a press release, Kodansha, the publisher behind some of the most popular manga series like Naoko Takeuchi’s Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon and Katsuhiro Otomo’s AKIRA, is releasing digital versions of the first volumes of several series. popular manga series such as Attack on Titan, Miss Nagatoro and Tokyo Revergers. According to the press release, the goal of this free digital giveaway and sale is to “help new and existing manga fans get started” on Kodansha’s most iconic series.
Kodansha is also offering discounts on digital versions of the second and third volumes of the manga series. Through this limited-time offer, readers can purchase the second volume of the series for $0.99 and the third volume for $1.99. All in all, readers can buy the first three volumes of the series for under $5. This program runs through Monday, August 2.
