Katsuyuki Miura, Shotaro Uzawa, Fumiko Uchimura, Minami Takahashi join the voice cast
Kodoani.com – Official website for the anime adaptation of the manga of the same name Komi Can’t Communicate (Comi-san wa Comyushō desu.) posted a new trailer for the second anime season on Wednesday. The video reveals the four new members, and also reveals the songs Opeing and Ending.
Information video for the opening song “Ao 100 Iro” by Miku Itō, as well as the ending song “Koshaberi Biyori” by FantasticYouth.
The new voice cast includes:
Katsuyuki Miura voices Shisuto Naruse, a narcissist Shotaro Uzawa voices Chūshaku Kometani, a note addict Minami Takahashi voices Ayami Sasaki, a classmate of Komi who was in the same group with her on the field trip Fumiko Uchimura language Mikuni Katō, a classmate of Komi’s, was in the same group as her on a field trip
The previously announced voice cast includes:
Shin’ichirō Kamio as Makoto Katai, who also has poor communication skills. During summer vacation, he worked out and dyed his hair making him look like a lover
The second season will premiere on TV Tokyo and other channels on April 6 at 12:00 a.m. JST (ie, April 7).
Netflix will stream season two in 2022.
The first season of the anime premiered on TV Tokyo and other channels on October 6 of last year. The anime began airing exclusively on Netflix in Japan on October 7.
Netflix premiered the anime outside of Japan on October 21, two weeks after it premiered in Japan, with new episodes weekly. The service is also streaming an English dub. Netflix is streaming the anime in more than 190 countries and territories in eight dubbed languages and 31 languages with subtitles.
Ayumu Watanabe is directing the anime, while Kazuki Kawagoe is directing the anime at OLM. Deko Akao is in charge of creating the series.
Atsuko Nakajima designed the characters.
Cider Girl performed the opening theme song “Cinderella.” Kitri performed the Ending song “Hikareinochi.”
Viz Media is publishing the manga in English and it describes the story:
Timid Tadano is a total lily of the valley, and that’s just the way he likes it. But that all changes when she finds herself alone in her classroom on her first day of high school with the legendary Komi. The guy quickly realizes she’s not aloof – she’s just a super clumsy person. Now it’s up to him to help her on her quest to make 100 friends!
Oda launched the manga in Weekly Shonen Sunday in May 2016, after first publishing the manga’s one-shot version in September 2015. Shogakukan published the manga’s 24th compiled book volume on May 18. 1. Viz Media published the manga’s 17th volume on February 8.
The manga also inspired a live-action series that premiered in September 2021 on NHK General’s late-night television channel “Yorudora”.
