Updated schedule of LPL Summer 2022 Playoffs: Looking for champions and representatives of Chinese League of Legends who will be present at Worlds 2022.
At the end of the 2022 Summer LPL group stage, WBG soon got a ticket to the Playoffs and ranked 6th in the rankings. This will be an extremely unfavorable result because SofM and his teammates will have to face Victory Five and JD Gaming again, 2 very strong opponents with a very high win rate against WBG. The 2022 LPL Summer Playoffs will have 2 stages, including:
Stage 1: King of The Hill Formula (Round 1 -> Round 3). 4/5/8/9 in one branch and 3/6/7/10 in one branch
– Round 1: 8th vs 9th, 7th vs 10th
– 3rd and 4th places will enter the 3rd Playoffs round, 5th and 6th places will play from Playoffs 2
Stage 2: The format of the winning branch of the losing branch (Quarter-finals -> Finals). 1st place will face one of the 4/5/8/9 teams. Rank 2 will fight the remaining branch.
– In the quarterfinals, the 2 losing teams will play in the quarterfinals of the losing bracket. The winning team plays the loser’s semi-final.
– In the semi-finals, the losing team in the winning bracket semi-finals will play the losing bracket semi-final against the winner of the losing bracket quarterfinals.
All matches will be decided by Bo5. Teams from 1st to 8th will receive Championship Points. The team that won the LPL Summer 2022 will qualify for the 2022 World Championship.
