Rank Korea is always the top environment that every LoL player aims for for the purpose of training to improve their level, but owning an account of the world’s No. 1 server has never been easy, even for teams. recruiting VCSB in Vietnam.
The VCS and VCSB teams always have a big gap in qualifications, caused by many factors such as: competitive psychology, uncompetitive environment, etc. However, few people know right from the beginning. The difference in the level of the 2 levels of competition comes from a seemingly simple problem: League of Legends account belonging to a Korean server (Commonly known as: Acc Han according to the League of Legends community). Let’s learn about the difficulties of the VCSB teams with Game4V, on the “journey” to find Korean acc in today’s article:
Each Korean LoL account costs nearly half a gold in Vietnam:
According to an update from PNJ’s website, the price of SJC gold on June 25 fell to 6.7 million VND – The price for the VCSB team manager to accept to pay for a Korean rank account with full champions is 3 million VND. If the team has 6 members, the total amount to spend is about 18 million VND.
Game4V had a hot exchange with Mr. Ta Duy Cuong – CEO of Roy eSports, the team that had participated in the play off round of VCSB Summer 2022, Mr. Cuong confided as follows: “Currently, not only the B team, but only our team have to be tight. Korean acc search object to practice. If you can’t buy it, you have to rent it.” Find out about the rental price, Mr. Cuong said that the team has to spend about 1.2 – 1.5 million VND for each monthly rental account if it can’t be bought, this is the price he thinks is high but has to accept to recruit. Players can practice in a highly competitive Korean rank environment in terms of skills.
High spending but high risk:
The condition to have a League of Legends account at the Korean server is not easy, because when you register, you need a phone number registered by the owner in Korea to verify the account identity, the management agencies of the country of Ginseng very strict about identity management. This is the reason why many “dealers” import accounts from unknown sources, then sell or rent them to teams, the problem arises when many accounts are only used for a while. The shortest time is about 1 month, the fastest, only half a day will be locked. The manager of Roy eSports confided: “Fortunately, I meet a seller or renter who has a heart and they will help me unlock it, if I complain, I will lose money, it’s really a headache because of the Korean account problem for players, The risks are many, the costs are high, but we have to accept it.”
Only the VCS team has an “orthodox” Korean rank account to practice:
According to Game4V’s research, only VCS teams are given Korean LoL accounts by Riot to practice. However, the process of granting and managing this account number is very strict. Players are not allowed to share or “borrow” accounts, because they are managed according to the IP address of each gaming house that the teams practice, if they log in to these IPs incorrectly, the account will be immediately locked. Particularly for teams from VCS that are relegated, these accounts will be withdrawn, they themselves have to actively seek help from many different sources to have accounts for players to practice. Flash League team manager – Ms. Dinh Hong “June” Phuong shared about this issue: “Not having a Korean LoL account is really a huge difficulty for Flash team in particular as well as other teams. VCSB recruitment in general. Because everyone knows that the Korean server is home to the most skilled gamers in the world. In addition, the strict account management policy of accounts from this country has made it difficult for Flash team to find practice accounts. Currently, I am also looking for a lot of help from many places, including relatives in Korea. But Riot Korea’s policy is so strict that it is impossible to have an official account. Not only that, as a team B team Flash can’t access the tournament server. So having a Korean LoL account will help Flash team practice with teams from strong regions around the world.” (The tournament server has a very good ping level, so professional teams in different regions often choose this as their main practice. Not being able to access this server is a huge disadvantage for teams. B)
In fact, the fact that VCSB teams hunt for Korean LoL accounts is not outside of the two words “level”. An unnamed manager working at VCSB, commented on the level difference when there is no Korean LoL account: “Korean rank creates a quality competitive environment for advanced players, making a comparison. Subjectively according to what I personally witnessed during the training process, if the LPL server is twice as qualified as the Vietnamese server, the Korean server must be about 1.5 times higher than the Trung server. Now that there is no training acc, there is no way to play off and get promoted. The guys on VCS get to practice Korean rank every day, but we don’t. Players who only play on the Vietnamese server will not learn anything to progress at the professional level. So the training time is zero. Not to mention if a team doesn’t have any Korean account, it will be difficult to contact the training with the foreign team. Usually, they will contact each other to train through the Korean server’s in-game account, if there is no acc, it is difficult to contact to find a suitable opponent, now every team trains in Korea, I don’t have it, it is considered outdated, just lost the opportunity to train with another team, the player just did not have the opportunity to submit. Seeing children practice vegetarian at Vietnamese rank every day is really hot, but it can only be like this in the immediate future.”
Game4V also had a survey with a number of gamers at the Vietnamese Singles Challenger level and had an account climbing to the rank of Diamond 1 in Korea, one of which admitted about the difference between the two servers as follows: “If an account reaches the level of 1 Korean single Diamond, then you must have a top performance under Vietnam Singles Challenge or higher, and Diamond 1 in your country’s server is only about Platinum 4 in Korea.”
Many difficulties for the VCSB team:
Regarding the problem of training with many difficulties of the VCSB team, Mr. Hoang Phuc Thong, former founder of the BTS team who was present at VCS, confided to Game4V: “There are 3 outstanding difficulties that a VCSB team has to face. First of all, there is no Korean acc for training. This will make the gap between team A and team B widen. The second is still related to practice, team B is almost impossible to practice with team A if they do not have enough relationships or even pay to train. Usually, team A only trains with teams in Taiwan, LCK… They almost never practice with team B, the reason is very simple, team B is not qualified, practicing with them does not improve anything, th 2 is easy to reveal. The last thing is that team B will not be supported by the tournament organizers on contract issues, for example, if a team wants to go to the night with your member, they have to accept it, but do not know who to report it to.”
According to information Game4V collected after discussions with the managers of VCSB, the cost of raising the team for 4-6 months until participating in the VCS promotion round is very large. For a team with a few names, no stars, including most of young talents, only pay a salary of about 3 million (including accommodation, living, insurance …) along with a cost of more than 15 million for the coach, it costs each month. at least 100 million in maintenance costs, not to mention the costs incurred such as the Korean acc suddenly locked and had to be bought from unorthodox sources at high prices. If you only rent acc at the price of 1.5 million, the cost for 6 team members per month must be up to 9 million. Especially for ambitious teams that must go to VCS, about 2 months before the play-off, they accept to spend a huge salary from 30 to 50 million / month for players with “face” at VCS to return. Play seasonally for your team to rank up.
Conclude:
The cost is so high, but there are only 2 places to be promoted each season, so for teams that “pass the dance” unsuccessfully, the results are waiting for them to only dissolve or lose key personnel, then continued to invest more than half a billion dong in 6 months to raise the dream of being present in the most prestigious tournament of LoL in Vietnam.
