Chickens have been a part of CS since the early days, and now players may be able to hold these chickens in their hands in the future.
Chickens have been a core part of Counter-Strike since version 1.6, although players have never had any real interaction with them beyond taking down chickens in their path. However, some leaked news has suggested that prepared players can pick them up and examine the chickens.
A video of the chicken inspection animation has been posted by PoPw0w, giving players their first look at the feature. While not an officially confirmed addition yet, it's sure to be a fun one for the community. However, there's still something a bit… odd about the players stopping the match just to check on the chickens.
But, if chickens had a health check feature like this, would they have skin? Players have seen chickens dressed in Christmas costumes, so the possibility of skins for them can't be completely ruled out. Imagine buying skins for chickens for tens of millions of dong!
However, it will be quite a while before this feature appears, or not. Valve is still working on various improvements to CS2 and its map team. Therefore, during this time, health checks for chickens in the game may only be in the player's imagination.
