Gorr the God Butcher can be considered the most difficult villain that Thor has to face, here’s a look at Gorr’s “trophies” in the comics.
Gorr the God Butcher (Vietnamese is Gorr the Godslayer) is a supervillain appearing in American Comics published by Marvel Comics.
The character will appear in his first live-action role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Thor: Love and Thunder, played by Christian Bale.
First, upon acquiring the All-Black the Necrosword of the God of the Symbiotes Knull, Gorr took the life of a dying god wielding the power of Enigma Force, when he fell to his planet. About 2,000 years ago, Gorr took the lives of the two lords of the forest paradise, the gods of the harvest, the King of Oaks and Queen Sequoia of the planet Glenglavenglade. These gods were pinned to the tree by him.
After that, Gorr went to kill many gods. According to him to Thor in 893, this list includes many gods of war, god of fear, god of chaos, god of blood, god of fury, god of lies, god of envy, god of plague, god earthquake, god of killing, god of vengeance, god of decay, god of death, and a few gods of flowers and poetry. He descended to Earth in 893 and took the head of an Indian god. Slavic gods such as the dark god Chernobog and the thunder god Perun also perished at the hands of Gorr. Hinkon, the Siberian god of hunting, had both legs and an arm cut off by Gorr and pierced in the ribs. He was ended by Thor with a blow of the ax Jarnbjorn after showing Thor the lair of Gorr.
After having his arm cut off by Thor of 893, Gorr escaped and continued to work with the gods in the universe. 1200 years ago, Gorr slaughtered the war elves of Wendigorge and also the guardian of the planet Hornworld, causing the entire planet to decline. Several hundred years ago, Gorr ascended to the planet Indigarr and wiped out its gods, including Severe Hoggscarr, Cruel Krawskin, Lady Vyle AKA the ferocious goddess, All-Blud Lord Ha Kha and thirteen son from his thirteen wives. Every Indigarr god from men, women and children was slain by him. Years later, Thor discovered them.
In addition to these gods, in 500 years, many gods died at the hands of Gorr and rotted. Some die alone. Others died in a mass grave so large that Thor could see it from space. These include the immortal coral gods of the Cataract, the inhabitants of the Outer Void dimension, the last Lava giant; Blood-Eye Voord, the beheading god of the Badoon empire, Zorr’kiri, the Skrull goddess of love, and the Invisible Yug-Sluggoth, Baron of Ancient Hell. In addition, the family of Shadrak, the bomb god of the diamond Moon of the planet Oghogho, and his close friend Janaro were also killed.
Of course, it is impossible not to mention the Giant Falligar, the guardian god of the galactic frontier appearing in the first teaser of Thor: Love and Thunder. In the comics, this god was killed by Gorr 5 years ago.
At the time of the Thor: Love and Thunder series, Gorr also killed the time gods of the planet Chronux. He then traveled to the past and stole the heart of an ancient god 14 billion years ago. In a future where Thor is old, Gorr also takes the lives of Volstagg and the gods he enslaved at the mining site of his planet.
