Male leads Kento Yamazaki, Tao Tsuchiya & director Shinsuke Satō return
Kodoani.com – Netflix has officially announced the production of a third live-action season based on the manga “Alice in Borderland” (Imawa no Kuni no Alice) by author Haro Aso. The main cast includes Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya, along with director Shinsuke Satō. Part 3 will continue the fascinating story about the mysterious and dangerous world that the main group of characters must face.
Information about the third part of “Alice in Borderland” was revealed along with a new piece of art, in which a joker card is the highlight. Director Shinsuke Satō announced that “a new journey, a journey completely unknown, begins.” He also revealed the mysterious identity of the new season’s villain, creating more excitement for viewers.
Netflix’s Kazutaka Sakamoto, who has been involved in projects such as “Hero Mask” and the live-action version of “Yū Yū Hakusho,” will serve as executive producer for the new season. Akira Morii and Daiju Takase are also involved as producers. Robot is in charge of planning and producing the third installment of the series, in collaboration with The Seven.
The manga focuses on the story of Ryōhei Arisu, a high school boy who feels dissatisfied with his daily life. One day, he and his friends were drawn into a mysterious world after a strange explosion. From there, they must participate in terrifying survival games to survive and find a way to return to their own world.
The first season of “Alice in Borderland” debuted on Netflix in 2020 and became one of the most-watched live-action series on the service in Japan that year. Part two premiered in 2022 and continues to receive love from audiences around the world.
