New York Comic Con 2023 is shaping up to be a huge event for Jujutsu Kaisen enthusiasts, and Loungefly just revealed a ton of new merchandise for the event.
Leading the pack is a small, sophisticated white backpack, featuring the character Ryomen Sukuna. Priced at $80, this item will be available at the Loungefly NYCC booth (Booth #1000) and released simultaneously on Loungefly.com on October 12, starting at 9:00 a.m. PST Positive.
Additionally, Loungefly is also partnering with streaming giant Crunchyroll to bring fans a 5-pack of JUJUTSU KAISEN batteries for a modest MSRP of $30. This mesmerizing set will be available at Loungefly’s NYCC booth. Each of the five pins pays homage to beloved characters — Jujutsu rookie magician Yuji Itadori, Nobara Kugisaki and Megumi Fushiguro, Cursed Soul Ryomen Sukuna and magic teacher Satoru Gojo .
The collaboration between Loungefly and Jujutsu Kaisen began earlier this year when the Funko-owned brand released mini bags representing the moment Yuji Itadori swallowed one of Ryomen Sukuna’s fingers. While Itadori stands out as the main character of Jujutsu Kaisen, the sales scene tells a different story, as the character is often overshadowed by the charm of the central character, Satoru Gojo. Thanks to his gentlemanly personality, Gojo has emerged as a fan-favorite character, inspiring a large number of the franchise’s products.
Based on the best-selling manga of the same name by Gege Akutami, Jujutsu Kaisen debuted in 2020 from animation studio MAPPA and is currently in its second season. The series has gained immense popularity and has an enthusiastic fan following. From life-size cardboard cutouts to a range of stickers and costumes, the series is also flourishing with products featuring Gojo and his fellow characters. In fact, Jujutsu Kaisen merchandise is making a significant inroad into mainstream retail stores, giving fans more to add to their collections. As the countdown to New York Comic Con approaches, fans can prepare to immerse themselves in the treasures of Jujutsu Kaisen.
