Kodoani.com – Kabukibito website revealed on Friday that the popular manga “Lupine III” by author Monkey Punch will become the inspiration for a traditional kabuki stage play, scheduled to be performed at Tokyo’s Shinbashi Enbujo theater in December.
The play will bring together an outstanding cast, including:

The origin story of the kabuki play takes us back to the Azuchi-Momoyama period (1568-1600), along with the appearance of Lupine and company in this historical environment, where the legendary Japanese outlaw lived Ishikawa Goemon law.
Notably, the character Daisuke Jigen from the comic book Lupine III will also have his own live-action movie titled “Jigen Daisuke,” scheduled to premiere on Amazon Prime Video globally on October 13. Actor Tetsuji Tamayama will continue to play the role of sniper Daisuke Jigen, as he did in the 2014 live-action film “Lupine III”.
