Kodoani.com – Golden week is live streamed especially for Made in Abyss: Retsujitsu no gonkyō (Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun), the second part of Akihito Tsukushi’s Made in Abyss manga, premiered the anime’s second commercial. The special and new video for “Rico party side” has announced the new characters and their accompanying voice cast. The video also features the season opening song “Katachi” by Riko Azuna and announces the ending song “Endless Embrace” by MYTH & ROID.
The newly announced cast members are:

Additionally, Yuka Kuroda joins Kise as the second character designer. The first season’s sub-designer Takeshi Takakura is currently the lead designer, with Takumi Sakura being credited as the new season’s sub-designer. Teru Sekiguchi of Inspired joins Osamu Masuyama as second art director. Masayuki Kurosawa is editing. Kadokawa is collaborating on the music production.
The new season will be out in July.
In the story of Made in Abyss, a giant system of caves and pits known as the “Abyss” is the only unexplored place in the world. Strange and wonderful creatures dwell in its depths, and it is filled with precious relics that present humans cannot create. The mysteries of the Abyss fascinate humans, and they plunge headlong to discover. The adventurers who venture into the pit are called “Cave Raiders.” An orphan girl named Riko lives in the town of Ōrth on the edge of the Abyss. Her dream is to become a Cave Raider like her mother and solve the mysteries of the cave system. One day, Riko begins to explore the caves and discovers a cyborg that resembles a human boy.
Tsukushi launched the manga on Takeshobo’s Gamma website in 2012. Seven Seas is publishing the manga in English.
