The June issue of Kodansha’s Monthly Young magazine announced on Thursday that Tomonori Inoue, Candy & Cigarettes’ manga will end in two chapters.
Inoue launched the manga in the 3rd issue of Kodansha’s Young Magazine in January 2017. The magazine describes the manga as an “immoral crime” story starring an elementary school girl and an old man. . The man has passed the retirement age and he takes a new job with a high salary, which requires secrecy and there are no guarantees of his survival.
Kodansha ported the manga to a “renovated” Monthly Young in May 2021 after publishing the final issue of Young Magazine’s 3rd issue in April.
Kodansha released the manga’s ninth volume in Japan on May 20.
